(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Wednesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:
----------
Corero Network Security PLC - London-based cybersecurity firm specialising in distributed denial-of-service protection - Signs a deal with an unnamed "leading UK-based fixed and mobile telecommunications and connectivity provider". The deal is won alongside a Corero partner, and it has a five-year term with a total contract value of USD3.4 million. Corero will provide its managed service offering to the customer. "This is a further endorsement of Corero's position within the UK critical national telecommunications infrastructure sector. Through a highly competitive tender process, Corero was selected not only for its market-leading security solution but also its ability to meet the customer's business-critical UK regulation and governance obligations," the firm adds.
----------
Talisman Metals PLC - developing Tirzzit and Fougnar copper project in Morocco - Reports that a drilling programme has kicked off at Tirzzit. It notes 33 holes will be drilled, for a total depth of 2,770 metres, "with additional capacity to drill targets of opportunity throughout the campaign".
----------
Touchstar PLC - Glasgow-based mobile data computing solutions and managed services supplier - Expects to report a "solid performance" in the first half to June 30, with financial results largely steady on-year. A pretax loss of GBP100,000 is expected, unchanged from a year prior, on steady revenue of GBP3.4 million. The adjusted loss before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation is expected to widen slightly to GBP30,000 from GBP24,000. "The board is cautious regarding the timing with which current opportunities will convert into orders as customer decision-making and the timing of orders continue to be influenced by the wider economic environment. It therefore expects revenues in the second half of the year will be slightly weaker than in the first half although the anticipated loss for the year is now expected to be lower than current market expectation," Touchstar says.
----------
Calnex Solutions PLC - Linlithgow, Scotland provider of test and measurement solutions for the global telecommunications sector - Calnex says trading in the financial year to date is in line with market expectations. Its financial year concludes in March. "Calnex has made an encouraging start to FY27, with its increasingly diversified product portfolio continuing to drive growth and broaden the group's opportunities, exemplified by a recently secured digital infrastructure win with a major US financial institution, reinforcing the benefits of the diversification strategy," Calnex says. "As anticipated, the telecoms market has remained stable during the year to date, with Calnex well-positioned to benefit as demand recovers. In parallel, the group continues to see attractive opportunities across digital infrastructure and government & defence." Calnex is confident about its prospects for financial 2027, and "continues to expect the targeted investment being made this year to support accelerated growth" in the next financial year.
----------
RC365 Holding PLC - payment solutions and fintech company, which operates primarily in east and southeast Asia - Grows its banking virtual account offering in Latin America. "The services are now live on the group's portal. The expansion enables customers to open local collection accounts in six Latin American markets, supporting collections in Mexican pesos, Argentine pesos, Brazilian reais, Peruvian soles, Colombian pesos and Costa Rican colon," the firm says.
----------
OptiBiotix Health PLC - York, England-based life science firm - Says a new weight management product containing its SlimBiome formulation has been launched at retailer Holland & Barrett's under the Formi brand. The firm had signed a three-year non-exclusive trademark licence agreement, allowing H&B to use the SlimBiome and LeanBiome marks on its products. "The introduction and rapid adoption of GLP-1 medicines has led to a fundamental shift in the weight management market and created a significant new opportunity for nutritional products that can complement pharmaceutical approaches," OptiBiotix Chief Executive Officer Stephen O'Hara says. "SlimBiome, supported by clinical studies, authorised health claims in major territories and multiple international awards, is increasingly being recognised as a clinically validated, natural approach to appetite, hunger and satiety management. We believe this positions SlimBiome well both as a non-drug option for consumers seeking support with weight management and as a potential nutritional solution for consumers seeking to maintain their weight following GLP-1 treatment."
