TRADING UPDATES: Chesterfield Special Cylinders CEO steps down

28th Jul 2026 19:52

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of earnings and trading updates by London-listed companies, issued on Tuesday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Chesterfield Special Cylinders Holdings PLC - Sheffield, England-based engineering firm - Chief Executive Officer Chris Walters to step down July 31. Chief Operating Officer Chris Webster named managing director and joins the board with immediate effect. Director of Finance Sally Millen also joins the board. "These executive management changes recognise the reduced scale and simplification of company operations following the sale of the Precision Machined Components division in October 2024 and the slower-than-anticipated development of the hydrogen storage and transportation market," company says. The changes will result in a reduction to annual central costs of GBP300,000. Additionally, confirms expectations for a "strong and profitable second-half performance...supporting full-year market forecasts at levels similar to the prior year". The company expects "modest" revenue growth in 2027 from defence newbuild contracts and lifecycle services. Says hydrogen newbuild revenue, removed from its forecasts, "represent a potential upside."

----------

Ferrexpo PLC - Baar, Switzerland-based mining company operating primarily in central Ukraine - Says vessel loaded with DR-grade pellets is struck by Russian forces in the Black Sea and one crew member has been killed. The vessel remains afloat but its condition is unclear. Does not expect to able to load additional vessels via its Black Sea export route for the foreseeable future. The group had previously forecast increased FDP sales for export from Black Sea ports in the second half. Says this cancellation has a material negative impact on its liquidity position. Now forecasts that it will have sufficient net accessible cash to operate until end-August 2026. Is currently discussing a USD100 million equity fundraise.

----------

Rift Helium PLC - helium exploration and development firm - Updates on its near-term work programme at the Upepo Project in the Rukwa Basin. Completion of the environmental impact assessment process is expected in the third quarter. Plans a 3D seismic acquisition during the third quarter upon receipt of the EIA certificate, followed by processing and interpretation, with an updated independent resource assessment targeted for the first quarter of 2027. Says its planned work programme is fully funded including a 3D seismic survey and a two-well exploration drilling campaign, with the first exploration well planned for the first half of 2027.

----------

ECR Minerals PLC - Updates its Queensland mining activities after a portfolio review undertaken as part of the ongoing transition towards becoming a diversified Australian gold producer. Approves the reallocation of operational personnel and a mobile wash plant from Raglan to what it considers to be its highest-priority development opportunity, the Maddens Gold Project in North Queensland. Trial alluvial mining activities are expected to commence shortly on the Brothers mining lease. "The Board believes this represents the most effective allocation of the company's financial and operational resources and is consistent with ECR's stated strategy of building a diversified Australian gold company capable of generating both nearer-term revenues and long-term shareholder value," ECR says.

----------

Supply@Me Capital PLC - London-based inventory monetisation platform - Updates on its non-binding heads of terms with Societe Financière Europeenne SA to acquire certain assets. Expands scope of the acquisition to include an Italian regulated credit intermediation business and certain inventory monetisation funding know-how relating to relevant financing structures. "The Board considers these additional elements to be important to the group's proposed move towards a broader working-capital funding fintech platform, with the Italian regulated credit mediation business (which operates under the supervision of the OAM (Organismo Agenti e Mediatori)), expected to provide a regulated gateway for Italian origination and local bank relationships." Adds that negotiations have been taking place regarding related corporate and transaction-level funding arrangements between the it and SFE Equity Investments SARL, a securitisation entity fully controlled by SFE.

----------

Andrada Mining Ltd - tin producer targeting Namibia - Announces the final grab sample results from the Lithium Ridge Project. The sampling programme is part of stage 1 of an earn-in agreement with Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA's subsidiary SQM Australia (Pty) Ltd. Results extend the surface mineralisation of lithium ridge by 50% to a total of nine kilometres. Also identifies high grade lithium, tin and tantalum anomalies within multiple new pegmatites across the licence area. CEO Anthony Viljoen says: "The completion of the licence-wide surface sampling programme marks another important milestone in our evaluation of Lithium Ridge. The results extend the identified mineralised trend by an additional three kilometres and confirm high-grade lithium mineralisation across multiple new pegmatites, together with significant associated tin and tantalum mineralisation. These results complement the encouraging diamond drilling results reported to date, which have demonstrated lithium mineralisation from surface to borehole depth and have strengthened our understanding of the scale and continuity of the broader pegmatite system. The identification of additional mineralised pegmatites beyond the principal trend further highlights the exploration potential that remains across the licence area."

----------

GreenRoc Strategic Materials PLC - Greenland-focused critical mineral project developer - Starts its phase III drilling programme at the Amitsoq graphite deposit in South Greenland. The programme planned to proceed through August. CEO Stefan Bernstein says: "I am very pleased that our drilling programme has now commenced. Our team in Greenland has worked hard during the mobilisation and getting the rig and equipment up and running. The intersection of graphite ore at the expected depth and of the expected thickness is an excellent start to the programme and reflects the continuity of the Amitsoq graphite orebodies."

----------

Power Metal Resources PLC - metals explorer with projects in North America, Africa, Saudi Arabia and Australia - Announces completion of the first hole of its drilling programme on the eastern feeder dyke to the Molopo Farms Igneous Complex in southwestern Botswana. Hole 1-9 was drilled to a depth of 382 metres and intersected disseminated suspected nickel mineralisation associated with a leuconorite band between 243 metres and 269 metres downhole depth. Sampling and assaying are in progress. CEO Sean Wade says: "I am delighted to report the completion of the first hole of our current drilling campaign at Molopo Farms, and particularly the intersection of suspected nickel mineralisation within the target structure. While we await the results of sampling and assaying, this is an encouraging early indication that our revised targeting approach, focused on the controlling structure and feeder dykes to the Complex, is testing the right ground. It reinforces our belief that a district-scale discovery remains within our reach."
