TRADING UPDATES: Anglo Asian hails plant upgrades; EnSilica wins deal

23rd Apr 2026 16:45

(Alliance News) - The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Anglo Asian Mining PLC - Azerbaijan-focused gold, copper and silver producer - Reports "significant upgrades" to processing plants at the Gedabek and Demirli operations. A flotation plant upgrade at Gedabek is on track to be completed this month. "The nine newly-installed, high-efficiency Imhoflot pneumatic flotation cells are designed to deliver rapid mineral recovery from higher grade ores. The cells are capable of processing the higher-grade ore from the Gilar mine and are expected to improve gold and copper recoveries over those obtained by conventional flotation. They will thus enhance the company's ability to process higher grade ore from the Gilar mine and add to the versatility of the Gedabek flotation plant," Anglo Asian says. The upgrade cost USD1.8 million. It adds: "At Demirli, both the SAG mill and ball mill are now operational as a replacement gear box shaft for the ball mill was installed during Q1 and is performing well. Leach tests with a bio-heap leach column at Demirli are also underway and are delivering encouraging results, with up to 78 per cent. copper recoveries. This indicates strong potential for the future implementation of bio-heap leaching production which continues to be subject to further evaluation." Vice President Stephen Westhead says "investing in our processing capacity is particularly important as we seek to maximise returns from expected increased production volumes in the years ahead".

----------

EnSilica PLC - Oxford, England-based computer chip maker - It wins two "landmark" contracts with an unnamed "leading European satellite operator" to develop two chips for its next-generation satellite network. EnSilica says initial non-recurring engineering revenue from the combined contracts is USD6.8 million, starting in financial 2026 and extending into financial 2028. "The award provides significant industry validation for EnSilica and we are very proud of our technology being selected for this major space programme following extensive joint study phases," says Chief Executive Officer Ian Lankshear.

----------

Atome PLC - Leeds, England-based green fertiliser project developer - Updates on the funding of its USD650 million, 260,000 tonnes-per-year, low-carbon fertiliser plant at Villeta, Paraguay. Extends the longstop date to Friday. "A further announcement is expected to be made this week," it adds.

----------

Active Energy Group PLC - London-based, biomass-focused renewable energy developer - Signs terms to acquire a grid connection located at Taweela, UAE for GBP1.3 million. "The proposed acquisition relates solely to grid connection capacity. Completion of the transaction is conditional upon the satisfactory completion of confirmatory due diligence and the execution of legally binding documentation. The transaction represents a further step in the company's strategy to aggregate scalable, energisation-ready power infrastructure in key Middle Eastern markets, where supply remains constrained and demand for high-density digital infrastructure continues to accelerate," Active Energy says. It says GBP625,000 is to be satisfied in cash and the other GBP625,000 in equity. Active adds: "The company has commenced confirmatory due diligence, which is expected to include verification of grid capacity, connection rights, load availability and any upgrade requirements. Subject to the outcome of this process, the company expects to complete the transaction within approximately four weeks."

----------

Digital Carpenters is to invest in a 4.8 megawatt bitcoin mining project located in Texas, US. The planned total investment is USD2.3 million over three years. "The Texas Project provides exposure to bitcoin-linked cash flows through a structured and contracted framework and is designed to generate consistent revenues from mining operations supported by established infrastructure. The investment demonstrates the speed at which BMV can deploy capital and generate cash flows and returns. The company intends that such cash flows will be recycled within its treasury operations to generate additional yield," Bluebird says.

----------

First Class Metals PLC - Ontario, Canada-focused gold and critical metals explorer - Reports "bonanza-grade" gold at a drill hole at the Roy prospect on the Sunbeam property in Ontario, with visible gold observed. "The initial assay results from the drilling at Roy have vindicated our belief that the Sunbeam property contains significant gold potential," says Chief Executive Officer Marc Sale. "I feel confident that, as we grow our understanding based on the information generated by FCM's new approach at Roy we can not only upgrade the Roy values but mirror this across the property."

The asset covers five hectares of land, close to a motorway and in areas "suitable for solar PV development under the applicable regulatory framework".
