Sureserve Upbeat After Financial Year End; Operating Chief To Leave

4th Oct 2019 08:32

(Alliance News) - Engineering services firm Sureserve PLC reported "strong" demand for its services and said its full-year profit will be in line with expectations.

The company, which ended its financial year on September 30, expressed an optimistic outlook as "both operational and financial performances have been strong in the second half of the year".

Pretax profit will meet expectations, Sureserve explained. Last year, the company swung to a pretax profit of GBP1.9 million after registering a GBGP5.6 million loss the year before.

Turning to its boardroom, Sureserve said Michael McMahon, its operating chief, has decided to resign, citing personal reasons. Sureserve's Chair Bob Holt will take on the operating role on an interim basis while the company reviews its board structure.

Shares in the company were 2.1% lower at 28.40 pence each in London on Friday morning.
