Stratex International CFO Perry Ashwood To Leave Firm Next Week

30th May 2018 12:17

LONDON (Alliance News) - Stratex International PLC on Wednesday said its chief financial officer has stepped down from the role, effective from next Monday.

Ashwood has been with the firm since 2005, helping it through its float on AIM in 2006. He will be replaced by Robert Smeeton, who will join the gold miner's board on the same day as Ashwood leaves.

Chairman Peter Addison said: "Perry has played a critical role in the development and success of Stratex since joining in 2005. On behalf of the company and its shareholders, I would like to thank him wholeheartedly for his dedication to the company over the last twelve and a half years and wish him well in his retirement.

"He will continue to support the company as a consultant in order to provide continuity for his incoming replacement, Bob Smeeton. Bob has extensive experience of working with AIM companies, contributing significantly to the successful turnaround and growth of several companies during the course of his career, and in turn delivering material value to shareholders."

Shares were 8.6% higher on Wednesday at 0.73 pence each.
