SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Superdry swings to profit; Halfords falls

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

Superdry PLC, up 15% at 117.88 pence, 12-month range 96.00p-330.00p. Stocks rise after company swings to profit for financial 2022. The clothing retailer posts pretax profit of GBP17.9 million, swinging from GBP36.7 million loss the year before. However, expects its adjusted profit to be lower in current financial year due to "challenging macroeconomic environment".

Motorpoint Group PLC, up 3.0% at 152.46 pence, 12-month range 145.00p-382.90p. Shares recover slightly after fall of about 16% following publication of trading update on Thursday. The omnichannel vehicle retailer expects full profit for first half to be GBP3 million compared to GBP13.5 million last year. Recovery on Friday unable to close gap from Thursday's losses.

Oxford BioMedica, up 3.5% at 354.50 pence, 12-month range 325.60p-1,608.00p. The gene and cell therapy group completes partial repayment and amendment of loan facility with Oaktree Capital Management. Under the new terms, company amended the facility into a new senior secured four-year term loan facility with a principal amount of USD50.0 million.

Halfords Group PLC, down 2.0% at 165.40p, 12-month range 123.90p-374.40p. Shares fall on Friday following rise of about 33% between September 29 and October 6. Completed acquisition of Lodge Tyre on Wednesday for GBP37.2 million.
