Chesnara PLC, up 2.3% at 294.00 pence, 12-month range 253.63p-334.40p. The Preston, England-based insurance company rises slightly after RBC said it will start the company with "outperform" and a price target of 350p.

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

Hochschild Mining PLC, down 5.8% at 74.70p, 12-month range 50.40p-151.00p. The Americas-focused silver and gold miner falls, as its produces 358,826 gold equivalent ounces versus full-year guidance of 360,000 ounces to 375,000 ounces. In its fourth quarter of 2022, the company produced 3,632 koz of silver, versus 3,858 koz a year ago.

Wickes Group PLC, down 4.7% at 150.60p, 12-month range 111.10p-213.60p. The home improvement retailer says that sales in the 13 weeks to December 31 were up 12% year-on-year, over the whole of 2022 sales were up 3.5%. Looking ahead, Wickes expects pretax profit to be in line with current market expectations of between GBP72 million and GBP76 million. In 2021, Wickes recorded a pretax profit of GBP65.4 million.
