SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Gloomy outlook hangs over Xaar

29th Dec 2023 10:07

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Capital & Regional PLC, up 4.8% 60.8 pence, 12-month range 51.8p-64p. The London-based real estate investment trust looks set to end the year on a positive note, though its shares have added just 1.3% in 2023. In late September it completed the acquisition of the Gyle shopping centre in Edinburgh for GBP40 million.

----------

SMALL-CAP - LOSERS

----------

Xaar PLC, down 4.2% at 111.08p, 12-month range 96.2p-214p. The industrial inkjet manufacturer is set to close the year down 40%. In late November, Xaar said it anticipates flat profit and revenue in 2023, but both will fall short of expectations in 2024. It blamed delays in customer product launches and weakened demand.
