(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Tuesday.
----------
SMALL-CAP - WINNERS
----------
AltynGold PLC, up 9.8% at 172.42 pence, 12-month range 93.73p-315.00p. Revenue for first quarter of 2021 more than doubles to USD10.1 million from USD4.6 million, driven by improved gold production and also by higher gold prices. "Production went up by almost 43% year-over-year and the quantity of contained gold increase more than by 70% year-over-year. The positive momentum in production growth and improving contained gold is expected to be increased over the coming quarters," company says.
----------
Air Partner PLC, up 8.9% at 84.9p, 12-month range 52.11p-103p. Reports 6.7% increase in revenue for financial year that ended January 31 to GBP71.2 million, while pretax profit soars to GBP8.4 million from just GBP936,000. Says start to new year is strong, with first quarter performance ahead of management expectations. Trading levels for second quarter also are expected to be ahead of initial plans, subject to government restrictions being lifted.
----------
SMALL-CAP - LOSERS
----------
Amigo Holdings PLC, down 21% at 23.35p, 12-month range 4.84p-30.3p. Guarantor loans provider says UK Financial Conduct Authority intends to appear at court sanction hearing through counsel to oppose sanction of company's scheme, even if approved by the requisite majority of the scheme creditors, on the basis that "the court cannot be satisfied that the scheme in its current form is fair." Amigo proposed the scheme for compensation claims in January after an FCA investigation into customer complaints about unaffordable loans, and company has previously warned that the failure of the scheme would result in company's insolvency. "The FCA's letter states that its concerns are in relation to scheme creditors' claims being significantly reduced whilst other stakeholders such as shareholders are not being asked to contribute, and the terms of the scheme arrangements do not arise out of negotiations with scheme creditors or any body representative of their interests," Amigo explains.
