2nd Aug 2021 10:54

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Monday.

----------

SMALL-CAP - WINNERS

----------

Global Resources Investment Trust PLC, up 15% at 2.10 pence, 12-month range 1.38p-2.75p. The mining assets investment company raises GBP599,201 of new financing via fundraising of convertible loan notes, which have conversion price of 0.25p per new share. The notes issue forms part of a wider transaction, under which Peterhouse Capital Ltd placed 18.3 million existing shares in the company with investors, pro rata to their participation in the fundraise. The existing shares were bought at a price of 2.75p each. "The net proceeds of the fundraising will provide the company with additional working and investment capital to support the exploitation of investment opportunities in the junior mining and natural resource sectors," it says.

----------

Senior PLC, up 7.0% at 173.20p, 12-month range 41p-186.71p. The engineering firm expects to exceed expectations for the full-year following a "resilient" performance in a first half that brought "clear signs" of recovery. Pretax profit for the six months ended June 30 was GBP22.3 million, swinging year-on-year from a loss of GBP136.3 million. Now expects overall performance for 2021 to be slightly ahead of previous expectation.
