(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Wednesday.

Danakali Ltd, up 6.4% at 23.94 pence, 12-month range 17.66p-33.90p. The Australia-based resource company says for half year ended June 30, pretax loss narrows to USD477,897 from USD1.7 million loss last year. Total consolidated cash on hand at the end of the period was USD25.7 million compared to USD9.7 million at December 31.

Henry Boot PLC, up 2.1% at 280.69p, 12-month range 234.00p-290.00p. The construction firm says its property development unit, HBD, has signed a GBP53.8 million funding deal with Oxenwood Real Estate to progress a logistics scheme in Nottingham.

John Menzies PLC, up 1.7% at 329.50p, 12-month range 98.00p-365.65p. The aviation-services provider says it saw a strong first half despite the continuing impact of Covid-19 on travel. For the six months to June 30, swings to pretax profit of GBP4.7 million from GBP80.1 million loss year before, though revenue was GBP415.8 million, down from GBP431.5 million. Says turnaround driven by restructuring, cost actions and new business wins, together with continued support from governmental schemes. John Menzies remains confident about long-term outlook as aviation sector starts to recover.

Trifast PLC, down 0.3% at 147.50p, 12-month range 96.60p-170.000p. The industrial fastenings firm buys US-based fastenings distributor Falcon Fastening Solutions Inc for USD8.3 million.
