(Alliance News) - SigmaRoc PLC on Wednesday reported revenue and earnings growth across the first nine months of the year, as it hailed its acquisition of a Lithuanian dolomite business.
The Europe-focused limestone and minerals extraction and processing company reported revenue of GBP795.0 million for the nine-month period ended September 30, up 2.5% from GBP775.0 million the previous year.
Underlying earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose 7.5% to GBP207.3 million from GBP192.9 million.
SigmaRoc said volumes during the third quarter evolved broadly in line with the first half, as improved performance from infrastructure, industrial and environmental markets was offset by subdued residential construction market conditions across Europe.
In September, SigmaRoc announced it had acquired Lithuanian dolomite business AB Dolomitas for EUR110 million. Chief Executive Max Vermorken said he was "delighted" with the acquisition of the business, which produces 3.5 million tonnes of dolomite annually. The acquisition is expected to be completed later this year.
Looking ahead, the company said it continues "to demonstrate resilience against a backdrop of subdued activity in certain end markets, and amidst geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty. Whilst there are potential catalysts for improved market conditions, the timing and extent of this remains difficult to predict."
SigmaRoc's outlook for 2026 remains unchanged.
The company said it expects 2026 revenue of GBP1.07 billion, which would represent a 2.8% increase on GBP1.04 billion achieved in 2025. Underlying Ebitda is expected to be GBP280 million, sitting within its guidance range of GBP276 million to GBP285 million, and representing a 6.8% increase on GBP262.2 million. Underlying basic earnings per share are expected to be 11.6 pence, up 10.4% from 10.51p in 2025.
"We see little change in [the fourth quarter] in terms of the current market uncertainties. However potential tailwinds remain, with EU support for sectors such as steel and mining continuing, the German stimulus programme being ongoing, and the potential for a cyclical recovery in residential construction all able to contribute to a meaningful improvement in our business in due course. Whilst it is too early to call their arrival, we remain hopeful that these tailwinds will at some point deliver an improved trading environment in which SigmaRoc will flourish," said Vermorken.
Shares in SigmaRoc were down 6.1% at 116.40p per share on Wednesday morning in London.
