Resolute Mining reports higher interim profit on strong gold price

20th Aug 2026 13:49

(Alliance News) - Resolute Mining Ltd on Thursday reported improved half-year earnings, boosted by a more robust gold price.

Revenue rose to USD584.7 million, up 31% from USD447.5m a year prior, while pretax profit almost doubled to USD237.5 million from USD124.1 million.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose to USD323.9 million from USD228.8 million.

"Operating cash flow generation remained strong during the period, supported by higher realised gold prices," the company said.

Resolute Mining said its Mako gold mine in Senegal continued to perform strongly while the Syama gold mine in Mali was affected by a planned roaster shut down, shortages of explosives and delays in the deployment of equipment at the A21 open pit.

"We remain focused on increasing production through the second half as the Syama sulphide conversion project is progressively commissioned and ramped up," said Chief Executive Officer Chris Eger.

Resolute Mining shares were down 5.5% at 62.20 pence on Thursday afternoon in London.
