(Alliance News) - RentGuarantor Holdings PLC shares surged on Wednesday after the company said it expects full-year revenue to be "materially" above market expectations.
Shares in RentGuarantor, which provides rent guarantee services in the UK private rental sector, rose 17% to 91.55 pence in London on Wednesday.
RentGuarantor said it expects full-year revenue, adjusted net profit and earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation to beat market expectations. The company said it now expects revenue of more than GBP14 million and net profit of more than GBP4 million for 2026.
According to RentGuarantor, the market currently expects revenue to be in the range of GBP9.1 million to GBP10.0 million, while adjusted net profit is estimated at GBP1.2 million to GBP2.4 million.
Revenue for 2025 was GBP2.4 million, while the pretax loss was GBP1.6 million.
On Wednesday, the company reported that revenue grew to GBP8.5 million in the eight months to August, from GBP1.5 million in the same period last year, while adjusted net profit rose to GBP2.9 million from a loss of GBP392,000.
RentGuarantor said its performance was driven by a growing customer base and expanding partnerships, supported by the positive impact of the Renters' Rights Act's implementation.
The contracts completed in the eight months to August were 8,257, compared with 2,008 a year earlier, and the company said it is increasingly confident it will hit its target of 100,000 contracts by 2029.
At the end of August, cash increased to around GBP7.5 million from GBP2.4 million at June 30, prompting the company to consider introducing a dividend policy.
