Red Leopard Loss Widens In "Frustrating" 2015 But Idaho Work Continues

29th Jun 2016 10:34

LONDON (Alliance News) - Red Leopard Holdings PLC on Wednesday reported a wider pretax loss in what it termed a "frustrating" year for the junior mining industry.

For 2015, the company made a pretax loss of GBP230,921, compared to a GBP170,113 pretax loss in 2014. The loss was pushed wider by the lack of any 'other operating income' for the company, which had been GBP50,293 a year earlier but was zero in 2015. The company made no revenue either year.

Red Leopard said 2015 was a "frustrating" year, hampered by weak conditions in the silver market and difficulties accessing the Idora Tunnel silver project due to forest fires in Idaho, where the project is located, in September.

The company said conditions for junior miners have shown some signs of improving, and it is continuing to progress the Idora Tunnel project.

Red Leopard added it is proactively exploring and considering other complementary assets to add to its portfolio.

Shares in Red Leopard were untraded Wednesday, having last traded at 0.0745 pence.
