Reckitt Benckiser sells Hygiene business in Russia but keeps Health

24th Jul 2026 09:44

(Alliance News) - Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC on Friday said it has agreed to sell its Russian hygiene business to Arnest Management LLC, just over four years after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Slough, England-based Reckitt provided no financial details for the disposal. It said Russia Hygiene represented roughly 1% of net revenue from Reckitt's 'core' offering last year.

Core Reckitt includes the hygiene products and consumer goods firm's 'powerbrands', which include names such as Dettol and Strepsils.

The sale to Arnest is expected to be completed during the second half of 2026.

In its brief statement on Friday, Reckitt said it retains ownership of the Russia Health business, which continues to supply consumer health products.

Arnest has previously snapped up assets from firms divesting Russian offerings since the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and the imposition of sanctions on Moscow by the US and EU.

Unilever PLC sold its Russian unit to Arnest in 2024, while brewer Heineken NV did the same with its Russian operations in 2023.

Reckitt shares were up 0.1% to 4,945.00 pence early on Friday in London.
