Quilter carries strong momentum into first half on "excellent" inflows

6th Aug 2026 09:05

(Alliance News) - Quilter PLC on Thursday reported "strong" interim profit, underpinned by "excellent" fund inflows that helped lift assets under management and administration.

The London-based wealth manager said pretax profit was GBP222 million in the six months that ended June 30, more than double from GBP100 million a year earlier.

Adjusted pretax profit rose 12% to GBP112 million from GBP100 million, but IFRS pretax profit attributable to shareholder returns fell 3.2% to GBP60 million from GBP62 million.

Revenue was GBP379 million, up 12% from GBP337 million, reflecting strong growth in management fee revenue, partially offset by lower investment revenue generated on shareholder funds.

Assets under management and administration from core business rose by a quarter to GBP154.5 billion on June 30 from GBP123.4 billion a year before and by 12% from GBP138.3 billion on December 31.

Net inflows into core business was GBP6.0 billion in the half-year, up 32% from GBP4.5 billion a year before, while gross flows into core business rose 27% to GBP11.9 billion from GBP9.4 billion.

Reported net inflows jumped 24% to GBP5.8 billion from GBP4.3 billion.

Quilter declared an interim dividend 2.1 pence, up 5.0% from 2.0p, despite lower earnings.

Basic earnings per share and headline EPS were both down 2.9% to 3.3p from 3.4p.

"Our strong momentum has continued in H1 2026 as we delivered good profit growth and sustained excellent flows," Quilter Chief Executive Officer Steven Levin said.

Looking ahead, Quilter guided for adjusted pretax profit to be up by a mid-single-digit percentage in the second half compared with the first six months.

Shares in Quilter were down 4.4% to 193.73p on Thursday morning in London and down 4.1% to ZAR42.85 in Johannesburg.
