LONDON (Alliance News) - Tesco PLC is understood to have held "active talks" with ITV PLC Chairman Archie Norman about taking on the chairmanship of the supermarket chain, Sky News reported over the weekend.
Tesco has been in talks with Norman, a former Conservative MP, about taking over from Richard Broadbent, Sky said. It noted that John Allan, deputy chairman of Dixons Carphone PLC, also remains in the frame for the position.
Norman is the former chief executive and chairman of Tesco rival Asda.
