8th Jul 2026 05:10

(Alliance News) - BHP Group Ltd workers at the Port Hedland iron ore export terminal in Western Australia will go on strike for eight hours on July 16, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

According to statement from the Combined Ports Unions, employees at the Melbourne, Australia-based diversified miner are seeking a deal that recognises specialist skills, difficult working conditions, and significant personal costs.

The strike action follows six months of talks and will include operators and maintenance workers.

BHP shares were down 3.2% at AUD56.96 each in Sydney on Wednesday afternoon.
