Petards wins camera maintenance contract with UK police force client

12th Aug 2025 13:24

(Alliance News) - Petards Group PLC on Tuesday said subsidiary QRO Solutions has won a contract for the support and maintenance of a UK police force customer's automatic number plate recognition camera infrastructure.

The Guildford, England-based security, communication and surveillance systems developer said the contract is scheduled to begin in November and is for an initial period of three years. The customer has the option to extend this to a maximum of five years.

The full five years of support and maintenance is valued at more than GBP400,000, to which will be added the value of ANPR systems bought under a framework agreement.

Maintenance work will be carried out on all the client's current fixed, re-deployable and in-car ANPR camera systems.

The deal includes a framework under which the customer can buy additional or replacement ANPR camera systems from QRO during the contract period.

"We are delighted to see QRO being successful in securing this contract award as part of a competitive tender process, demonstrating the quality and value for money its products and services offer to customers," said Petards Chair Raschid Abdullah.

Shares in Petards were up 0.6% at 8.55 pence in London on Tuesday afternoon. The stock has risen 14% over the past year.
