PayPoint outlines future growth plans at capital markets day

29th Sep 2026 12:52

(Alliance News) - PayPoint PLC on Tuesday said it is hosting a capital markets day, where it will set out plans to drive 5% to 8% annual net revenue growth, outline its simplified operating model and provide an update on trading for financial 2027.

The Hertfordshire-based technology, payments and services business in March laid out plans to simplify the business into four key business units: Network Services, which operates PayPoint's retail network and community services; Digital Payments & Open Banking, which provides payment, open banking and related financial infrastructure; Love2shop, which covers rewards, gifting and prepaid savings; and Merchant Services, which provides merchant acquiring, terminal rental and business finance.

Ahead of Tuesday's CMD, Chief Executive Nick Wiles said: "We have simplified PayPoint into four scaled business units, creating clearer accountability, sharper strategic focus and a stronger platform for growth.

"Today we are setting out how each business is positioned to grow, the opportunities we are prioritising and the KPIs investors can use to measure our delivery. Across the group, we see compelling routes to growth, including Community Banking and Digital Engagement, structural growth in digital payments and Open Banking, the lifetime value opportunity across Love2shop, and the return of Merchant Services to long-term profitable growth.

"Our medium-term financial ambition is unchanged. Focused execution across the four business units, together with strong cash generation and disciplined capital allocation, gives us confidence in our ability to deliver sustainable growth and attractive shareholder returns."

PayPoint added that trading since its July first-quarter update has remained in line with expectations, and that it remains confident of meeting market expectations for the year. It noted that it expects performance to be weighted towards the second half.

PayPoint shares were up 6.2% at 670.24 pence on Tuesday afternoon in London.
