Over 30% Of Entertainment One Shareholder Votes Oppose Two Resolutions

17th Oct 2019 18:52

(Alliance News) - Entertainment One Ltd on Thursday posted the results of its annual general meeting and special meeting of shareholders, where two of its resolutions saw significant opposition.

These were resolution 2, which 38% of votes cast were against, and resolution 8 - to which 31% of votes objected. Despite this opposition, all resolutions were passed.

Resolution 2 was for approving the directors' remuneration report for the media and entertainment firm's financial year ended March 2019. Resolution 8 was for the election of Mark Opzoomer to the Entertainment One board.

Entertainment one said it has continued its engagement programme to gain shareholder feedback. The engagement programme was led by Opzoomer as senior independent director.

"The programme is now completed and the board is considering the valuable feedback received from shareholders, together with the additional feedback provided through the voting response at the 2019 annual general and special meeting," said the company.

Shares in Entertainment One closed down 0.2% at 558.50 pence in London on Thursday.
