Optima Health expects in line revenue amid "outstanding progress"

12th May 2025 11:11

(Alliance News) - Optima Health PLC on Monday said it will report full-year revenue in line with market expectations, as it hailed "outstanding progress" against its objectives.

The Sheffield, England-based occupational health software provider said revenue in the 12 months to the end of March was GBP105 million, down 5.3% from GBP110.9 million a year ago.

The company said the second half of the year showed 7% growth over the first half.

It also expected to deliver adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation in line with expectations for the year.

Optima said it has made "significance organic and inorganic progress" since it listed on the AIM market in September.

It has won "significant new contracts" and made "a number of strategic acquisitions" to accelerate long-term growth, the company said.

In April, Optima said it has agreed to acquire Irish occupational health services firm Cognate Health Ltd for up to EUR9 million, its first acquisition outside the UK.

Optima said its net debt position at the end of March was GBP2.2 million, made up of a cash balance of GBP14.8 million, less drawdowns from the revolving credit facility of GBP17.0 million.

"Optima has demonstrated outstanding progress against our strategic objectives since the AIM listing in September 2024, growing our presence in our core market and expanding into a new territory, as we continue to lead the transformation of workplace health and wellbeing," said Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Thomas.

"Looking ahead, we are confident that the strength of our platform will enable us to capture further market share and enhance our position as the UK's leading occupational health and wellbeing partner. Alongside this, we will continue to seek value enhancing M&A opportunities to accelerate growth."

Optima expects to release its full results by mid-July.

Shares in Optima Health were down 4.1% to 187.07 pence in London on Monday morning.
