(Alliance News) - Pharmaceutical development firm Nuformix PLC confirmed Friday it was in discussions with "multiple" potential licensees in Japan and Asia following a sharp jump in its shares.
Shares in Nuformix were 29% higher at 10.64 pence in London on Friday, up more than four times over the last year.
"Discussions are on-going," Nuformix said in a statement. "However, no final agreement has been reached and no guarantees can be provided that the on-going discussions will result in material agreements for the company."
Nuformix confirmed the licencing talks were including "but not limited" to its NXP002 fibrosis treatment programme.
"Further update announcements will be made as and when appropriate," Nuformix added.
