LONDON (Alliance News) - Nostrum Oil & Gas PLC on Thursday said it has started hot commissioning of its third gas treatment unit located in the pre-Caspian basin in north west Kazakhstan.
The stock was trading 4.3% higher on Thursday afternoon at 63.40 pence a share.
The exploration and production company said full commissioning remains on track to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2019, with the first gas entering the facility on Tuesday.
"I am pleased to announce the start of the hot commissioning stage and first gas into the third gas treatment unit. This marks a significant milestone for Nostrum," said Chief Executive Kai-Uwe Kessel.
"The third gas treatment unit will also help us to further optimise operational costs at field site with one control room managing the entire field. This step brings us closer to completing a unique set of world class infrastructure in the pre-Caspian basin in north west Kazakhstan," added Kessel.
