(Alliance News) - Neuberger Private Equity Partners Ltd on Friday reported a fall in net asset value in September, while highlighting accelerated portfolio realisations.
The Guernsey-based investment company said net asset value per share as at September 30 was USD27.58, a total return of negative 2.0% in the month.
Shares in NBPE were up 1.0% at 1,542.75 pence on Friday afternoon in London.
NBPE reported "proactive portfolio company realisations and portfolio management" and noted its performance was hurt by "negative movements in quoted holdings and foreign exchange". It said the realisations and portfolio management contributed a 1.7% fall to its net asset value.
NBPE said realisation activity had accelerated in 2026, with proceeds from signed transactions reaching USD299 million so far this year. This represented 25% of the company's opening portfolio value.
In September, NBPE exchanged its holding in Action for shares in 3i Group PLC, providing greater flexibility for future realisations and investment decisions.
NBPE invested USD26 million in Action in 2020 and has since generated USD70 million in proceeds from the investment. The remaining holding was exchanged for 3i Group shares at an implied price of GBP31.31 per share. The shares are subject to restrictions preventing their sale for nine months, subject to customary exceptions.
