Morses Club Hires Andy Hayward As Finance Head From eServGlobal

12th Jun 2019 10:15

(Alliance News) - Doorstep lender Morses Club PLC on Wednesday announced the appointment of eServGlobal Ltd's Andrew Hayward as chief financial officer.

Hayward, who will join Morses at the start of July, has been CFO at AIM-listed digital transactions technology firm eServGlobal for over two and a half years.

Before that, he was head of finance at Hurricane Energy PLC, and has also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Paul Smith, Morses' chief executive, said: "We are delighted to welcome Andy to Morses Club. Andy has extensive experience in the mobile technology and digital payments space and will make a significant contribution to the delivery of our strategic plans as we continue to diversify our product offering to serve a broader range of customers across the non-standard credit space."

Shares in Morses were 1.3% lower on Wednesday morning at 153.00 pence each.

eServGlobal didn't comment on Hayward's departure on Wednesday. However, the company is undergoing a restructuring and name change and had said earlier this month it expected Hayward to step down once the process was complete.

eServGlobal has agreed to sell its core operating business and associated assets to Seamless Distribution Systems AB for EUR2.0 million in cash.

Following the transaction, eServGlobal intends to change its name to Wameja Ltd. The transaction and the change of name are both conditional upon shareholder approval.

eServGlobal shares were 1.6% higher at 6.00p on Wednesday.
