LONDON (Alliance News) - Morgan Advanced Materials PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed Clement Woon, group chief executive of Saurer AG, to its board as a non-executive director.
Woon's appointment is effective following the materials maker's annual general meeting this Friday.
Woon is presently CEO of Swiss-headquartered Saurer, a EUR1 billion textile machinery and components firm and used to be co-Executive officer of the textile division of OC Oerlikon AG, as well as president and CEO of SATS Ltd.
The appointment of Woon fills the vacancy created when Andrew Shilston retired back in December. Once Woon joins Morgan Advanced Materials, the board will have five non-executive directors including the chair and two executive directors.
Shares in Morgan Advanced Materials closed down 2.0% at 259.20 pence on Tuesday.
