LONDON (Alliance News) - Monitise PLC, a provider of technology to financial institutions, on Tuesday said it has ceased discussions regarding a possible disposal of its content business.
Monitise announced in early March that it was in very early stage discussions to potentially dispose of the business, but on Tuesday said those discussions have now ceased as the division is performing strongly.
"The content business is performing strongly and, together with the expected growth prospects for the content business, Monitise has concluded that greater shareholder value can be delivered by retaining the content business within the group," Monitise said in a statement.
"The company will continue to regularly evaluate all assets within the Monitise group to ensure that long-term shareholder value is maximised," Monitise added.
Shares in Monitise were trading down 7.1% at 2.92 pence on Tuesday morning.
