LONDON (Alliance News) - MJ Gleeson PLC on Monday said it has appointed former Keepmoat Homes Ltd chief executive James Thomson as interim chief executive officer.
The decision follows the immediate departure of Jolyon Harrison, who joined the urban housing regeneration and strategic land trading firm in July 2012. MJ Gleeson said Harrison stepped down due a dispute over pay and succession.
"Following extensive discussions with Harrison regarding his remuneration and succession planning, the board concluded that it was not possible to find a mutually acceptable basis for Harrison to continue as chief executive officer," MJ Gleeson said.
Thomson, who remains a non-executive director at private equity-owned housebuilder Keepmoat, will serve as acting CEO until a permanent successor is found. Internal and external candidates are under consideration, MJ Gleeson said.
"The board re-affirms its previous guidance that it anticipates the group will deliver a result for the year in line with expectations," said MJ Gleeson.
