LONDON (Alliance News) - Ophir Energy PLC on Tuesday said LMR Partners LLP holds a 5.1% stake in the company after a deal on Friday last week.
Following the deal, LMR Partners holds contracts for difference equivalent to 36.4 million shares or a 5.1% stake. Its prior holding, if any, has not been disclosed.
Shares in Ophir were up marginally at 56.71 pence on Tuesday afternoon.
In March, PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk fought off competition from Coro Energy PLC to acquire Ophir when it upped its offer to 57.5 pence per share from 55p per share. The increased offer values Ophir at approximately GBP408.4 million and was approved by shareholders on March 25.
