Kendrick Resources reports strong Teufelskuppe rare earth results

2nd Sep 2026 14:17

(Alliance News) - Kendrick Resources PLC on Wednesday announced an important validation milestone at its Teufelskuppe project in Namibia.

The southern Africa-focused mineral exploration and development company said X-ray fluorescence measurements of light rare earth oxide grades in drill core showed an "exceptionally strong" positive correlation with certified laboratory assays.

New assay results showed TKDD002 returned multiple sub-parallel dykes, with results of 3.16 wt% LREO over 5.4 metres and 3.14 wt% over 38.2 metres, while TKDD003 returned 3.83 wt% over 3.75 metres, 3.4 wt% over 59.78 metres and 3.97 wt% over 4.35 metres.

TKDD004 returned 3.12 wt% LREO over 3.97 metres from a near-surface sill that extends below the surface at an average width of about 40 metres. Kendrick is targeting a resource of at least 40 million tonnes grading 3.0 wt% LREO.

Kendrick said the 100-sample assay batch showed a strong correlation of 0.82 between pXRF readings and certified laboratory assays. Field pXRF readings were, on average, marginally lower than the certified results.

The company said the correlation supports using pXRF as a quick, cost-effective indicator of light rare earth oxide grades, helping guide exploration decisions and drill-hole planning. It described pXRF as a rapid, non-destructive technique that uses X-rays to measure the elemental composition of materials.

Chair Colin Bird said: "Our target at Teufelskuppe remains a 40 million tonne resource at a grade of greater than 3.0 wt % LREO and the current programme is expected to continue to deliver impressive results on the ground allowing us to move towards a JORC Resource underpinned by ongoing petrological studies and metallurgical test work being undertaken in the United States and Europe, respectively."

Shares in Kendrick were up 7.2% at 7.24 pence per share on Wednesday afternoon in London.
