(Alliance News) - Kendrick Resources PLC on Monday reported positive new diamond drilling results from its Teufelskuppe Project in Namibia.
The southern Africa-focused mineral exploration and development company said the TKDD014 hole intersected light rare earth oxide mineralisation in the TK4 sill, while TKDD016 intersected mineralisation in the TK5 sill. TKDD015 and TKDD017 drilled into the TK1 dyke mineralised structure, and TKDD018 targeted the TK7 sill.
"All mineralised bodies intersected significant mineralisation of continuous package widths ranging from 36.75m to 10.50m including 2.24 [weight]% LREO over 36.75m, 2.87 wt% LREO over 33.75m and 4.77 wt% LREO over 19.25m," Kendrick said.
It noted that TKDD015 intersected "a continuous mineralised package" from a depth of 46.50 metres, having already "intersected bands of high-grade mineralisation," while TKDD017 "achieved impressive intercepts" which peaked at 4.77 wt% LREO over 19.25m from 21.75m. Also, TKDD018 "achieved two notable intercepts" in TK7.
Previously, in late July, Kendrick reported high-grade results from drill holes TKDD011 to TKDD013 at Teufelskuppe, noting "continuous [rare earth element] mineralisation over impressive mineralised package widths". Chair Colin Bird said the firm was "very satisfied" with those findings, adding: "Consistency of grade and continuity of mineralisation are proving to be characteristic features of the TK Project."
"Again this is a pleasing set of results consistent with previously reported numbers and the regular appearance of higher grades over significant intervals is becoming a common feature of the complex," Bird commented on Monday. "The theme of consistency continues and every new set of results endorses our belief that the project progresses towards superiority in the emerging REE arena."
Shares in Kendrick were down 2.5% at 5.85 pence on Monday afternoon in London.
