Journeo secures USD5 million deal for New York subway displays

29th Oct 2025 14:35

(Alliance News) - Journeo PLC on Wednesday reported purchase orders worth USD5.0 million to supply platform display systems for the New York subway.

The Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire-based firm provides information systems and services for transport operators and local authorities.

Its subsidiary, Infotec, received the orders from Outfront Media Group for New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Infotec will provide the MTA with four new display variants, including 49-inch and 65-inch units, which are US-certified for indoor and outdoor use.

These will be the first units Journeo has supplied for "digital out of home" advertising on underground train platforms, the firm said. It also noted "embedded technology to manage display performance, provide vital diagnostic feedback for predictive maintenance and maximise system uptime."

Delivery is expected to commence in H2 2026, with Journeo's systems replacing the MTA network's legacy technology.

Journeo Chief Executive Russ Singleton hailed this as an extension of the firm's relationship with Outfront Media, adding: "These purchase orders underscore the confidence that this leading advertising provider places in Journeo technology and is another important milestone in our US growth trajectory."

Journeo shares rose 11% to 509.20 pence on Wednesday afternoon in London.
