(Alliance News) - Journeo PLC on Monday said it has received a order from the City Of Edinburgh Council to supply passenger information systems and software for the Edinburgh bus station and for a comprehensive five-year services and support package.
The information systems and transport technical services provider said the purchase order is the first of a few under a contract valued at GBP4.8 million.
In December, Journeo said the first tranche of the GBP4.8 million order is expected to be completed in the first half of 2020.
"We are delighted that the City of Edinburgh Council selected our passenger information software, systems and services for this vital public transport hub as part of a wider upgrade and regeneration of its public information systems estate," said Journeo Chief Executive Russ Singleton.
Shares in Journeo - headquartered in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, North West Leicestershire - were up 4.0% at 58.25 pence each on Monday morning in London.
