LONDON (Alliance News) - Marine engineering services company James Fisher & Sons PLC Wednesday said it has won a GBP193.0 million contract with the Indian navy for submarine escape and rescue.
The deal will cover the design and production of two submarine rescue systems by December 2018, along with a 25-year in-service support contract.
"As the global leader in submarine rescue services, James Fisher has been awarded the contract by demonstrating, through its work with the Royal Navy, the Australian Navy and the Singapore Navy, a commitment to the safety of the global submarine community over many years," said Chief Executive Nick Henry.
James Fisher shares were up 2.3% to 1,293.24 pence.
