LONDON (Alliance News) - James Fisher & Sons PLC, the marine and specialist engineering services provider, said Tuesday it has bought Subsea Vision for GBP2.5 million.
The group said the new acquisition adds to its marine support services division.
A Dorset-based company, Subsea Vision owns and operates remotely operated vehicles, providing underwater surveys, inspections and construction support to the oil and gas industry. It currently has five remotely operated vehicles in its fleet, and made a pretax profit of GBP0.4 million in the year to March 31, 2013.
Shares in James Fisher & Sons were up 2.0% Tuesday morning, trading at 1,400.00 pence per share.
