(Alliance News) - James Fisher & Sons PLC on Monday announced it has appointed Angus Cockburn as non-executive chair with effect on May 1.
He will be replacing Malcolm Paul, who will be stepping down from the role at the marine services provider on April 30, which is the date of the company's annual general meeting.
Paul has been in his role for three years since 2018, and part of James Fisher's board for ten years since 2011.
Cockburn is chief financial officer at Hampshire-based outsourcer Serco Group PLC, a role he has held for seven years since 2014, but he will be stepping down at Serco's own AGM in April.
Cockburn will be replaced at Serco by Director of Finance Nigel Crossley. Serco itself noted Cockburn's new non-executive role.
"The company has demonstrated great resilience in the recent challenging times, and I believe I leave it well-positioned to weather the current issues and grow strongly in the future," Paul said.
Shares in James Fisher & Sons were down 1.1% at 1,010.68 pence on Monday in London, while Serco's shares were 0.2% lower at 122.50p.
