LONDON (Alliance News) - ITV PLC has commissioned STV Group PLC's STV Productions to make a second series of comedy panel show 'Safeword', which airs on the ITV2 channel.
STV Productions will work on the series with co-production partners GroupM Entertainment. The show centres around a celebrity guest who has their social media accounts 'hijacked' and used to embarrass them, which they can stop by using their chosen safe word. It is hosted by Rick Edwards, with 'team captains' Katherine Ryan and David Morgan.
"It's great to be working with ITV on another series of Safeword, and we look forward to bringing viewers more unsafe comedy from Rick, Katherine and David as our teams are let loose on each other again," said Head of Entertainment at STV Productions Gary Chippington in a statement.
Shares in STV were up 2.3% at 445.00 pence Friday morning, whilst ITV was up 0.5% at 239.10 pence.
