LONDON (Alliance News) - ITV PLC Monday said it has acquired Mammoth Screen Ltd, the UK scripted production company behind 'Poldark', 'Endeavour' and 'Parade's End.'
ITV has held a 25% interest in Mammoth Screen since 2007, and has now bought up the remaining 75% of the company. No financial details of the transaction were disclosed.
Mammoth's Damien Timmer will join the business as Managing Director, whilst co-founder Michele Buck will step down as joint managing director.
"Damien and the team are one of the most impressive and sought after drama producers in Britain. From Endeavour to Poldark, they've an uncanny knack of developing hit after hit and we're delighted they're joining the ITV Studios family," said Managing Director of ITV Studios UK Julian Bellamy in a statement.
