Inspiration Healthcare loss narrows as sales boosted by neonatal unit

16th Jun 2026 15:53

(Alliance News) - Inspiration Healthcare Group PLC on Tuesday said its loss narrowed in the 2026 financial year, helped by increased revenue from neonatal ventilation products.

The Croydon, London-based medical technology company said its pretax loss narrowed to GBP1.0 million in the 12 months to the end of January from a GBP15.7 million loss a year earlier.

Revenue climbed 24% to GBP47.5 million from GBP38.3 million. Revenue in neonatal ventilation business SLE jumped 56%, while revenue for the UK-focused medtech brand Inspiration Healthcare fell 11%. Airon revenue was down 13%.

Adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation multiplied to GBP2.8 million from GBP200,000.

Chief Executive Officer Raffi Stepanian said: "FY26 has been a transformational year for the group. The period has marked a transition from stabilisation under our back-to-basics strategy to growth execution, with a core focus on global market expansion, product innovation especially with regard to consumables and services; and operational efficiency improvements across the group.

"We are positioned to scale through our three core platforms and strengthen our global leadership in neonatal ventilation and related neonatal medtech solutions."

Looking ahead, Inspiration Healthcare said its current trading is in line with board expectations for financial 2027.

It added that the current order book and "opportunity pipeline" provide confidence in meeting full-year expectations.

The company said it has confidence in the outlook for financial 2028, given the underlying performance of its core business units, despite the recently announced loss of the lower-margin infusion products distribution, which is expected to reduce revenue.

The board did not recommend a final dividend, unchanged from the previous year. It has agreed to maintain the suspension of dividend payments until further notice, and will keep the policy under review.

Shares in Inspiration Healthcare were up 4.8% at 27.25 pence on Tuesday afternoon in London.
