Weir PLC - Glasgow, Scotland-based provider of engineering services for mining and infrastructure - Notes the launch of a new mill circuit pump, known as the Warman MCR, which it says has been " developed to help mineral processing operations respond to more complex ores, higher throughput requirements and tougher operating conditions with greater control". Says the design combines "eight patented technologies across hydraulics, wear management, serviceability and condition monitoring".
The company adds: "Field trials in high-wear mill circuit applications on three continents have validated the pump's performance under demanding operating conditions, reinforcing its role in supporting longer, more predictable operating campaigns."
