Watkin Jones PLC - London-based residential property developer - Announces the topping out of the Skywalks purpose-built student accommodation at Freestone Road in Bristol, which it calls "a significant milestone in the delivery of the scheme". 'Topping out' marks the completion of a building's structure. Watkin Jones says the development is for a joint venture between Moorfield Group and Tiger Developments, for which it is the delivery partner. Expects the 204-bed property, which will be managed by Tiger's Host Students business, to help meet "growing demand for high-quality student accommodation in one of the UK’s most undersupplied university cities." Adds that Skywalks "will contribute to the wider transformation of the city, creating new student homes and supporting one of the UK's urban regeneration programmes."
"Topping out at Freestone Road is an important milestone for the project and a testament to the collaborative effort of the wider team," comments Managing Director Gwyn Pritchard. "We're proud of the progress made to date and look forward to bringing this high-quality and much-needed PBSA development in Bristol to completion."
