IN BRIEF: Volex set for FTSE 250 as moves to London Main Market

Volex PLC - Hampshire, England-based maker of power and data transmission products - Starts trading on the London Main Market on Friday, completing its move from the AIM market in London. Volex will be trading under the equity shares (commercial companies) category of the official list, meaning it will be eligible for inclusion in FTSE UK indices. With a GBP1.01 billion market capitalisation following a strong share price rise over the past year, Volex would be likely to join the FTSE 250 index at the next quarterly index review.

"Our move to the Main Market is a significant milestone for Volex, reflecting the growth in scale and performance we have delivered in recent years," comments Chief Executive Officer Nat Rothschild. "AIM has been a valuable platform for us, supporting Volex through a period of real transformation and sustained growth."

Current stock price: 547.00 pence, up 1.3% in London on Friday

12-month change: up 50%
