IN BRIEF: Venture Life buys two US healthcare brands for USD28 million

Venture Life Group PLC - Berkshire, England-based company that commercialises products for the consumer self-care market, with brands including Balance Activ, Earol and Health & Her - Agrees to buy the FemiClear and Curoxen healthcare brands for a combined USD28.0 million. It is buying the two brands from OrganiCare Nature's Sciences LLC, an Austin, Texas-based company that develops natural alternatives to synthetic pharmaceuticals. FemiClear treats gynaecological conditions such as urinary tract infections. Curoxen provides infection prevention for wounds and mouth sores. In the financial year that ended March 31, the two brands generated net revenue of USD12.1 million and gross profit of USD7.5 million. Venture Life says the acquisitions will strengthen its portfolio and support future growth in the women's intimate health sector and within the US market.

Separately, Venture Life says Chair Paul McGreevy buys 88,273 shares at 62.3 pence, worth GBP54,994, on Wednesday.

Current stock price: 66.21 pence for GBP80.7 million market capitalisation
