7th Oct 2026 12:02

Vaalco Energy - West Africa-focused hydrocarbon exploration company - says it completes its Phase 3 drilling programme offshore Gabon, with the ETSEM-3H well achieving a stabilised initial flow rate of about 2,000 gross barrels of oil per day. The company says the Phase 3 programme is now complete and the Borr Norve drilling rig has been demobilised. Vaalco begins drilling under the Baobab Phase 5 programme in Ivory Coast and expects production to begin by the end of 2026. Chief Executive Officer George Maxwell says the company's "continued success and organic project pipeline support Vaalco’s strategic focus on growing production, reserves and value for our shareholders."
