IN BRIEF: Truetide proposes investing policy for AI winners and losers

Truetide PLC - Glasgow, Scotland-based investor in listed and unlisted companies in technology sector, formerly known as Braveheart Investment Group PLC - Calls general meeting for September 7 for shareholders to approve a change in investing policy. Truetide proposes to broaden its investing policy to allow it to take both long and short positions in "companies affected by developments in artificial intelligence". Trudetide says it will take long positions in "companies that are well placed to capitalise on developments" in AI and short positions in companies "whose valuations the board considers may be difficult to sustain". It says its portfolio will be "balanced" and that short positions with be via options, so that the maximum risk is the premium paid for the option.

Current stock price: 3.17 pence, down 2.6% in London on Friday
