Talisman Metals PLC - Morocco-focused copper exploration and development company - Secures three new exploration licences adjacent to its Tirzzit Copper Project, expanding its licence footprint by 47 square kilometres to 63.5 square kilometres. The licences, located within the Agadir regional mining department, are valid until July 2029 and are considered favourable for additional copper-silver mineralisation. Talisman says it will explore copper-silver targets through geological mapping, rock-chip and stream-sediment sampling, followed by electromagnetic and induced-polarisation surveys to identify priority targets at depth.
Chief Executive Officer Tim McCutcheon says, "The significant increase in the Tirzzit Copper Project footprint gives Talisman more opportunities to uncover mineralisation and expand westwards on mapped mineralised zones. Morocco is opening up opportunities by allowing companies to acquire new licenses. Even though Talisman is a small, new player in the Moroccan exploration sector, we have the know-how and flexibility to act quickly and decisively to benefit our company and its future prospects."
