Sunrise Resources PLC - Nevada, US mineral exploitation and development company - Commissions Geotech Ltd to analyse geophysical data at its Reese Ridge zinc, lead and silver project in Nevada, using artificial intelligence to refine drilling targets. The work is expected to take six to eight weeks. Sunrise says magnetotelluric and ZTEM airborne electromagnetic surveys independently identify a low-resistivity zone about 250 metres below previously identified surface mineralisation, potentially indicating a larger mineralised body. Sunrise says surface sampling at Reese Ridge have returned up to 30% zinc and 68 parts per million of gallium. Samples from iron-rich gossans record up to 6.8% zinc, 3.3% lead and 51 grammes of silver per tonne. Executive Chair Patrick Cheetham says: "High-grade mineralisation outcrops at Reese Ridge in places over a wide area and is characteristic of the carbonate replacement deposit style of mineralisation which can be both large and high-grade." The work integrates magnetic and electromagnetic survey data and uses artificial intelligence-based self-organising map analysis to refine potential drill targets.
