Serval Resources PLC - London-based metals exploration and development company - Issues update on the ongoing work programme at "two of its key prospects in the Kalahari Copper Belt." These are audio-frequency magnetotellurics, high-resolution drone magnetic and orientation induced polarisation surveys on the Somelo prospect and a high-resolution drone magnetic survey on the Sweet Thorn Pan prospect. Both, especially Sweet Thorn Pan, are along the interpreted strike to and located near the Khoemacau copper-silver mine. Says the Somelo surveys are complete, while the drone magnetic survey on Sweet Thorn Pan is ongoing. Expects to complete the work programme this month. Says data processing has commenced and expects to complete an integrated interpretation using the combined data sets in October, "with expected follow-up targets to be delivered around the end of that month."
"Geophysical surveys are a critical step in advancing our copper exploration strategy in the Kalahari Copper Belt," says Chief Executive Officer Robin Birchall. "We are pleased that data acquisition has been advancing safely and in line with our planned scope. The combination of AMT, IP and high-resolution drone magnetics provides a strong technical foundation for refining our geological understanding and drill target definition, beneath the Kalahari sand cover. We will now focus on processing and interpreting the new data, integrating it with the information already available, including previously drilled holes at Sweet Thorn Pan under prior ownership, and defining the most compelling targets for follow-up exploration, including drilling, subject to receipt of additional funding in due course. We look forward to updating shareholders as this work progresses."
